CPC stands for cost per click web advertising. This means that companies only pay to have their advertisement appear on a page when a viewer clicks on it. CPC advertisements often appear when people use a search engine, either at the top of the results or on the right side. This type of advertising is especially beneficial to small businesses or companies trying to save money on advertising as the companies are not paying simply for the advertisement to show up, but for when someone clicks on it and is redirected to the business's page. CPC advertising is also known as PPC, or pay per click.
